This was the first and by far the hardest of the Extreme Z-Awakening Events. SS3 Goku, the Boss of the Event, is a Super AGL type and is weak against Extreme TEQ and Extreme INT types and units that belong to the Resurrected Warriorscategory. The best way to beat this event up to Stage 30 is to use a Resurrected Warriors team or utilize an Extreme TEQ/Extreme INT filled with units from that category, any other team will likely not make it past Stage 20.
Unit | Explanation |
---|---|
![]() [Emperors True Splendor] Golden Frieza (Angel) | The leader of the "Resurrected Warriors" category, capable of both dealing a lot of damage and somewhat take a hit even towards the last stages of the Event. Golden Frieza (Angel)'s Passive will not have any effect on SS3 Goku from Stage 15. |
![]() [Transcendent Majin] Buu (Kid) | Buu (Kid) is viable as a Leader for this event, but from Stage 20 onward I would advise to take at least a Golden Frieza (Angel) as the Friend Leader. Buu (Kid) has no Ki links, he will likely struggle to Super Attack, but he can inflict a lot of damage to the Boss of the Event while also healing your HP 12%. Towards the latest stages Buu (Kid) will take a lot of damage despite being in the "Resurrected Warriors" category due to the fact that he doesn't get any DEF boost or damage reduction. |
![]() Galactic Invasion Full Power Boujack (Galactic Warriors) | Full Power Boujack's Leader Skill does give a lower boost compared to Buu (Kid), but he can make up for that by providing an additional Ki. I would advise, again, to take a Golden Frieza (Angel) as the Friend Leader from Stage 20 if we are using this unit as our Leader. Full Power Boujack is a very valuable unit for this event, it will be difficult to get his 18+ Ki Super Attack, but his ability to tank and deal damage in this Event is incredible. At the start of the battle Full Power Boujack will be able to deal the most damage, whereas later in the fight, when your HP drop, he will receive a higher DEF boost from his Passive. |
Unit | Explanation |
---|---|
![]() [Fire of Vengeance] Golden Frieza | Golden Frieza is one the best tanks for this event being both Extreme TEQ and a "Resurrected Warriors", he is a very good linking partner for Golden Frieza (Angel) and he will also be able to deal a good amount of damage with enough investment into him. The main problem of this unit is the restriction on its Passive: without the damage reduction Golden Frieza will take around the same damage as Buu (Kid) towards the last stages. |
![]() [Surpassing All] Perfect Cell | Perfect Cell is an amazing tank: high base stats thanks to the S Rank Potential System and a 12% DEF boost per Ki sphere collected make him a very valuable unit for this Event. Perfect Cell also shares "Revival" with Golden Frieza (Angel) and Golden Frieza. |
![]() [Fearful World Domination] Demon King Piccolo | Demon King Piccolo is a unit obtainable only by summoning on the DB Saga Banner, he is a very good support unit and he will take reduced damage from SS3 Goku. |
![]() [The Return of The Demon] Bio-Broly | Bio-Broly is another Extreme TEQ "Resurrected Warrior" unit, he will receive a 100% DEF boost from his Passive since we are facing only 1 enemy. Bio-Broly is going to be a very good tank and he is obtainable in-game. |
![]() [Sleepless Hero] Tapion (Hirudegarn) | Tapion (Hirudegarn) receives a 50% damage reduction from his Passive, that will allow him to take hits incredibly well. Even in his "Hirudegarn" state, Tapion (Hirudegarn) will not be able to do much after Stage 20, but he will still provide some chip damage while taking nothing in return. |
![]() [Heros Mission] Tapion | Tapion is another really good tank that will also generate rainbow Ki spheres on the board, making the whole team more consistent. |
![]() [Furious Charge] Super Saiyan Bardock | SS Bardock is an orb-changer, he will provide TEQ Ki spheres for units like Perfect Cell, making him a better tank, and Buu (Kid), allowing him to Super Attack more easily. |
![]() [Raging Dash] Majin Buu (South Supreme Kai) | This unit is an amazing linking partner for Buu (Kid) and he will also take reduced damage from SS3 Goku. |

Beating this event without having Golden Frieza (Angel) is definitely difficult, but it's not impossible; I built and tested this team starting from the assumption that the player does not have Golden Frieza (Angel): the concept is that the main units designated to deal damage to SS3 Goku fully benefit from both Leader Skills, whereas the rest of the units are going to either tank or provide Ki/ATK links.
The first rotation consists of Buu (Kid), our Leader, and Demon King Piccolo; Buu (Kid) is capable of dealing a lot of damage to SS3 Goku even at free dupe system level and Demon King Piccolo, with his +3 Ki to Extreme types Passive, will allow him to Super Attack more consistently while taking reduced damage.
In the second rotation we have Golden Frieza (Angel), our Friend Leader, and Golden Frieza, our main tank; thanks to the Ki links they share, Golden Frieza (Angel) will have no trouble Super Attacking.
The first floater I chose is Perfect Cell, he is going tank pretty well even under only one Leader Skill with enough orbs and also activate Fierce Battle for Buu (Kid).
The second floater is Majin Buu (South Supreme Kai) and his main purpose on the team is to activate Buu (Kid) ATK links. I originally wanted him to be on rotation with Buu (Kid), but ended up leaving him as a floater because of how inconsistent they were with their Super Attacks. Majin Buu (South Supreme Kai) is also going to take reduced damage being both an Extreme TEQ type a a Resurrected Warriors.
The last floater is Metal Coora, a support unit that is going to provide 2 Ki and 30% ATK with his Passive; the main purpose of this unit is to make the team more consistent and get the most out of our main hard hitters.
"The Devilman Method" consists of using Devilish Deception Devilman. Devilman's Passive has a 1% chance to activate, but when it does it will grant "Deadly Power" to his Super Attack, giving him a high enough multiplier to take down pretty much any enemy even under a 70% ATK Leader Skill. 1% is incredibly low, but after all we are playing a game where the chance to get a specific character by summoning on a banner are even lower than that.
Our strategy is simple: we pray that Devilman's Passive activates and then we need to survive until he can Super Attack. The only good thing about this method is that this unit's Passive will activate at start of turn, immediately telling us if we need to reset or not. Devilman has really bad links so we are going to need units that can provide him with Ki, like [Rose Stained Super Saiyan] Goku Black (SS Rose) and Demon King Piccolo, and very good tanks, like Unparalleled Golden Ki Super Vegito and Proof of Resurrection Golden Frieza, or units that can dodge, like Brilliant Battle Intuition Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla.
