[Reign of Terror] Frieza (1st Form) is an in-game obtainable LR, he can deal a good amount of damage and tank decently well thanks to his high natural DEF and ATK lowering mechanic on Super Attack.

Frieza (1st Form) can be used primarily on two teams, Extreme STR and “Villains”.

Thanks to “Fear and Faith” and “Big Bad Bosses”, Frieza (1st Form) can fit very well on this team, he is not a bad option, especially if you are playing Super Battle Road and need some extra HP. Frieza (1st Form)’s main problem is that to maximize his potential you need to pair him up with a very specific unit, [Impeccable Emperor] Coolieza, and that would greatly limit your team options and end up being not worth it in the end. There are better options for the team, but Frieza (1st Form) has some use if you lack options.

On this team Frieza (1st Form) has a much wider variety of partners to have on rotation with him and, if you don’t have [Indestructible Evil Saiyan] LSS Broly, he can be a decent choice, linking with [Open the Gates of Hell] Coora and abusing [Punishment of Anger] Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé)’s Passive to get his 18+ Ki Super Attack more consistently.

Frieza (1st Form)’s 12-17 Ki Super Attack has no particular effect and causes colossal damage, whereas his 18+ Ki causes mega-colossal and lowers the enemy’s ATK and DEF. Lowering the DEF is not particularly relevant in most cases, but lowering the ATK is huge: a 20% ATK debuff combined with his LR DEF, [Hopeless Minus Energy] Omega Shenron’s further 30% ATK debuff, Goku Black (SSR)’s Passive and [Evil Incursion] Super Janemba’s is incredible, it makes Extreme STR incredibly tanky.

Frieza (1st Form)’s Leader Skill is very outdated, no Ki and 7000 ATK is not something you want to run in the current meta.

Frieza (1st Form)’s Passive is also outdated, 13000 ATK and 5000 DEF used to make him very good, but these boosts have greatly fallen off, they are not that valuable anymore.Hopefully in the future Frieza (1st Form) will receive an update to make him more relevant.

“Fear and Faith” and “Big Bad Bosses” are good links for any Extreme type unit, and even “Metamorphosis” can see some usage on Frieza (1st Form)’s main team, but the rest of the links are very specific and difficult to activate: “Strongest Clan in Space”, “Universe’s Most Malevolent” and “Thirst for Conquest” are very good links if a unit like [Open the Gates of Hell] Coora has them, because on his team, Coora has options to activate them without having to go out of your way, but Frieza (1st Form) has only one subpar unit to do that. Not having “Fierce Battle” also holds down this unit.

Since Frieza (1st Form)’s 12 Ki Super Attack has no particular effect, Additionals are not that important, your main focus should be Criticals to maximize the damage. In case Frieza (1st Form) receives an update and gets a percentage-based boost to his DEF, I would also avoid Dodges, they would not be useful anymore at all.

[Reign of Terror] Frieza (1st Form) is completely farmable by feeding [Inescapable Malice] Frieza (1st Form) Z-Awakened for a 50% chance up to SA 10 and then using another SA 10 [Reign of Terror] Frieza (1st Form) awakened all the way through to LR to bring your main copy to SA 20.
