Event guide

Introduction

A quick disclaimer is in order before getting into the actual guide to the event and the best units to bring with you: the 4th Stage of the LR Frieza Event is going to drop soon on Global, and you might be tempted to grind it right away, but, since last time something like this happened, when the 4th Stage of the LR Goku Event was released on both versions of the game, we received a "LR Campaign" announcement, you should definitely wait before wasting stones to refresh your STA.

Farming the Event

Tips for farming

The 3rd and 4th Stage of the Event are the ones you should farm, the 1st Stage is not advised to farm for the card drop, the drop rate is too low. The 4th Stage is the one you should start with, it's the one that drops the card, but once you have all the copies you need, you should switch to the 3rd Stage. In total you are going to need, excluding the [Indignant Emperor] Frieza (1st Form) that drops automatically the first time you complete the 1st Stage of the Event, 5 copies of the unit, 4 to open the paths in the Potential System and 1 to bring to SA 10, awaken to LR and then feed into your main [Reign of Terror] Frieza (1st Form). To SA 10 both [Indignant Emperor] Frieza (1st Form) you can either use your extra drop from the 4th Stage or [Inescapable Malice] Frieza (1st Form) that drop from the 1st Stage of the [Frieza (Full Power) Dokkan Event] for a 50% chance.

How to beat the Boss

The Boss of the Event

The Boss of the LR Frieza Event is of course Frieza, starting in his SSR state, then going to TUR and finally LR. His type for the 3rd Stage was STR, whereas the type for the 4th Stage is AGL all the way through, meaning you should bring TEQ units to beat him more easily. These particular events have a restriction, you will not be able to bring any unit you want, only units obtainable in-game can be used: no summonable units, no Baba Shop units, no Login Reward units, and, for some reason, [Evil-Borne Monster] Android #13 is also not allowed.

Best Units to Bring (3rd Stage)

Team Formation (3rd Stage)

1st rotationVegeta/SS2 Vegeta & Bulma
2nd rotationBurter - Paikuhan
Off-rotationTarble - Whis - Cell (Perfect Form)

Leaders

UnitExplanation
Born for Battle Vegeta (Kid)
Born for Battle Vegeta (Kid)
This unit should be your prime option as a Leader, he's easy to farm and very good for a Free-To-Play unit. Offering 3 Ki and 30% to all stats for all AGL types is the best you can get.
[Noble Prince] Vegeta
[Noble Prince] Vegeta
In case you want to go for a mixed approach, bringing both AGL and TEQ types because, for example, you want to have [Martial Artist's Pride] Jackie Chun on your team for sealing or [Catching Butterflies] Bulma (Youth), then this Vegeta offers 3 Ki for both types, but no stat boost. You could make a rotation with this Vegeta and Vegeta (Kid) and leave the second rotation for Jackie Chun and Bulma (Youth) to maximize the synergy, but getting any kind of boost from the Leader Skill helps out in getting through the stage more easily and without fail: we are looking for consistency during this grind.
[Red-Hot Martial Artist] Paikuhan
[Red-Hot Martial Artist] Paikuhan
Just like Vegeta, that I just mentioned, Paikuhan offers 3 Ki for two types, AGL and STR in this case, he is not a bad option as a leader and can be a valuable member on your team: he can lower the enemy's ATK, raise all allies' ATK and he has some good synergy with Whis and Burter.
[Furious Transformation] SS 2 Vegeta & Bulma
[Furious Transformation] SS 2 Vegeta & Bulma
Despite the fact that this unit's Leader Skill does not offer any ATK, 2 Ki and 50% to HP and DEF is not bad at all, especially when coupled with some ATK from the Friend's Leader Skill. This unit has a counter mechanic and can synergize pretty well with [Noble Prince] Vegeta and [Born for Battle] Vegeta (Kid), sharing "Royal Lineage", "Saiyan "Warrior Race" and "Prodigies", definitely something you want to bring with you.
[Pride of the Fastest] Burter
[Pride of the Fastest] Burter
Burter offers only 2 Ki and 30% to all stats, not the best as a Leader, considering Vegeta (Kid) is better under every single aspect, but as a unit at 100% in the Potential System that can Super Attack without the full Ki meter and has the ability to dodge, you might want to consider him for your team.

Other Units

UnitExplanation
[Puzzle Wrapped in Enigma] Whis
[Puzzle Wrapped in Enigma] Whis
Whis is a very good unit, he can recover your HP fully at the start of turn if you are below 30%, he can stun the opponent and shares "Shocking Speed" and Gentleman" with [Red-Hot Martial Artist] Paikuhan and "Shocking Speed" with [Pride of the Fastest] Burter.
Evolved Form Cell (Perfect Form)
Evolved Form Cell (Perfect Form)
Cell has one merit, his Passive lowers the enemy's ATK by 12%, reducing the overall damage you are going to take when he is on rotation. He could be an off-rotation unit and link up with Paikuhan for 2 with "Gentleman" when he comes around.
[Pure Saiyan] Tarble
[Pure Saiyan] Tarble
The main problem you have when you throw a bunch of units into your team, is consistency, you will miss Super Attacks here and there because your units do not link up that well: Tarble is an orb-changer, he can partially solve your problem by increasing the amount of AGL orbs on the field, making it easier to get a Super Attack off and possibly provide orbs for Burter to nuke with.
[Renewed Determination] Ultimate Gohan
[Renewed Determination] Ultimate Gohan
Ultimate Gohan is self-sufficient when your HP is above 50%, he does not hit particularly hard, but he raises his ATK without a turn restriction in return.
Martial Artist%27s Honor Tien
Martial Artist%27s Honor Tien
Tien has a 33% chance to stun the enemy through his Passive for the whole turn and he's easy to max out.
[An Evil Deal] Frieza (Final Form) (Angel)
[An Evil Deal] Frieza (Final Form) (Angel)
This Frieza (Final Form) shares "Tournament of Power" with the Ultimate Gohan I mentioned before, he is self-sufficient for the first 7 turns and he can lower the ATK of the enemy.

Best Units to Bring (4th Stage)

Team Formation (4th Stage)

1st rotationSS3 Goku (Leader) - Vegito (Candy
2nd rotation Bulma (Youth) - Jackie Chun/Yurin
Off-rotation SS Gohan Possessed (GT) - SS3 Goku (Friend Leader) - Bio-Broly

Leaders

UnitExplanation
[Heading for a Showdown] Super Saiyan 3 Goku (Angel)
[Heading for a Showdown] Super Saiyan 3 Goku (Angel)
This unit is your best option as a leader, 3 Ki and 30% to all stats, easy to max out, supreme damage multiplier and a 50% chance to get a 180% ATK boost.
[Getting Butterflies] Bulma (Youth)
[Getting Butterflies] Bulma (Youth)
Bulma (Youth) is another unit that you should bring anyway, even if you have a better leader: she outputs a good amount of damage, 70% chance to reduce the damage taken by 50% and she can recover your HP by collecting rainbow Ki spheres. Keep Bulma (Youth) on rotation with Jackie Chun or [Vengeful Witchcraft] Yurin for consistency.
[Over Exhaustion] Gotenks (Failure) B
[Over Exhaustion] Gotenks (Failure) B
Gotenks (Failure) B gives 3 Ki and 20% to all stats to all TEQ types, he is a nuker, meaning he requires orbs to perform well, but he is not a bad choice.
[Martial Artists Pride] Jackie Chun
[Martial Artists Pride] Jackie Chun
Jackie Chun gives 3 Ki to all TEQ and INT types, no boost, but a wider choice in terms of units. Even if you don't want to use him as a leader, you should still bring this unit, he can seal the Super Attack, he boosts all TEQ allies' ATK and DEF by 25% and he functions very well with Bulma (Youth).
[Peculiar Collaboration] Mighty Mask
[Peculiar Collaboration] Mighty Mask
Mighty Mask does not offer any stat boost, but he allows you to bring both TEQ and AGL types. This unit's main other purpose would be to activate "Super Saiyan" for SS3 Goku and [Everlasting Legend] SS Goku.

Other Units

UnitExplanation
[Strategic Combat] Piccolo
[Strategic Combat] Piccolo
Piccolo increases his allies' ATK and DEF by 15% and can Super Attack without a full Ki meter.
[Worlds Strongest Candy] Vegito (Candy)
[Worlds Strongest Candy] Vegito (Candy)
Vegito (Candy) is a very good unit, he shares "Over in a Flash" with SS3 Goku, he has a 50% chance to dodge and can stun the enemy. Vegito (Candy) is a must for this grind.
[Viciousness Released] SS Gohan Possessed (GT)
[Viciousness Released] SS Gohan Possessed (GT)
SS Gohan Possessed (GT) is the best support unit to bring with you, Ki +3 and DEF +30% to TEQ allies and activates "Super Saiyan" for SS3 Goku.
[The Return of The Demon] Bio-Broly
[The Return of The Demon] Bio-Broly
Bio-Broly can be a decent tank when facing one enemy and shares "Shattering the Limit" with Bulma (Youth) and "Super Saiyan" with SS3 Goku.
