Turles (Giant Ape) is a surprisingly good unit; he can hit really hard, his Passive basically makes him self-sufficient in terms of Ki and he is currently in three categories.

Giant Ape Mode
Currently Turles (Giant Ape) can be used on Extreme AGL, Giant and Movie Bosses.
Despite the fact that he doesn’t share many Ki links with the rest of the units on the team, Turles (Giant Ape) will have no trouble being consistent thanks to his Passive; he can activate Fierce Battle with the Leader of the team, The Ultimate Android Super 17, and Big Bad Bosses with [Rose Stained Super Saiyan] Goku Black (SS Rose). You can keep this unit on rotation with his best linking partner, [Explosive Evolution] Turles, in order to maximize the damage potential of both of them.
There aren’t that many good units in this category and Turles (Giant Ape) is definitely one of the best options when it comes to team building; he shares Transform with most of the other units on the team and he is not going to struggle to get his Super Attack off anyway thanks to his Passive. Saiyan Roar is actually not that difficult to activate and that 25% ATK link, together with Fierce Battle, is going to allow him to hit quite hard. Turles (Giant Ape) can naturally transform into his “Giant Ape” form up to two times and, under a double [Sleepless Hero] Tapion (Hirudegarn) Leader Skill, that will go up to six, even though that’s not a particularly good mechanic aside from the temporary invulnerability it grants.
Turles (Giant Ape) links incredibly well with Turles, the Leader of this team, and the two of them can perform very well on rotation together; even though they are not going to be on the same level as [Indestructible Saiyan Evil] LSS Broly and Hideous Super Saiyan Super Saiyan Broly, they are still going to hit pretty hard both before and after the Leader transforms. Turles (Giant Ape) has no trouble being consistent on this team and, aside from Saiyan Roar, most of his ATK links are pretty easy to activate.
Even though Turles (Giant Ape) only has a supreme damage multiplier, he has other ways of increasing his ATK to make up for it; the chance to stun is quite low, but it’s still a decent mechanic for Super Battle Road. The Ki multiplier is 140%, which is average, but definitely not a bad one.
The boost from Turles (Giant Ape)’s Leader Skill is pretty low, but at least it has no type restriction; the fact that the Ki provided is only 2 leaves much to be desired since we have a lot of units that can either give a higher boost, like [Limitless Growth] SS2 Caulifla, or more Ki, like [Dark Intentions] Masked Saiyan.
Turles (Giant Ape)’s Passive gives him an early Super Attack with just 9 Ki, but it’s actually better than that; since Turles (Giant Ape) will still reach 12 Ki, he will fully benefit from the Ki multiplier. A 90% ATK boost is not bad at all, especially since the unit is full of ATK links, the only thing that could have made this unit better is an ATK boost upon Super Attack to abuse Turles’ Passive
Prepared for Battle and Transform are not bad Ki links on Movie Bosses and Giant, but the unit lacks synergy with its own element, Extreme AGL; Big Bad Bosses and Fierce Battle are good ATK links in general and Thirst for Conquest, while being more niche, is still a link relatively easy to activate. Turles (Giant Ape) has two links, Destroyer of the Universe and Saiyan Roar, that belong an extremely limited amount of units so they are going to be difficult to have active at the same time, but they are very powerful to make up for that.
Unit | Explanation |
---|---|
[Explosive Evolution] Turles | The Leader of the “Movie Villains” category is an amazing support unit and he links very well with Turles (Giant Ape); these two units activate for each other “Thirst for Conquest”, “Fierce Battle”, “Big Bad Bosses” and even “Destroyer of the Universe”. Between Turles’ 3 Ki support and “Prepared for Battle”, both units have a guaranteed Super Attack and can benefit from the 40% ATK boost from his Passive. |
[Rose Stained Super Saiyan] Goku Black (SS Rose) | Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé) and Turles (Giant Ape) share “Prepared for Battle”, which, together with Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé)’s 3 Ki support, is enough to Super Attack automatically, and the two units also activate for each other both “Big Bad Bosses” and “Fierce Battle”. |
Rampaging Vengeance Super Baby 2 (Giant Ape) | Super Baby 2 (Giant Ape) and Turles (Giant Ape) share no Ki link, but Turles (Giant Ape)’s self-sufficiency can make up for that; these two units can activate for each other “Thirst for Conquest”, “Big Bad Bosses”, “Saiyan Roar” and “Fierce Battle” for a 55 to 80% ATK boost depending on your HP. |
Inklings of Ultimate Power Super Saiyan 3 Goku (GT) (Golden Giant Ape) | SS3 Goku (GT) is a great support unit that boosts his allies’ ATK by 33%, he shares no Ki link with Turles (Giant Ape), but he does activate both “Saiyan Roar” and “Fierce Battle” for him; again, the fact that Turles (Giant Ape) has essentially a Passive that makes him self-sufficient in terms of Ki is of great help. |
Power for the Death-Match Vegeta (Giant Ape) | Vegeta (Giant Ape) and Turles (Giant Ape) share “Transform” and activate for each other “Big Bad Bosses” and “Saiyan Roar”, their strongest links; Vegeta (Giant Ape) is not really as good of a unit as Turles (Giant Ape), but the two do link pretty well together and, as I said, the “Giant” category doesn’t really have many top-tier units at all. |
Investment in Critical will always be better since this unit is mainly meant to deal damage and it already gets a natural lv.5 Additional; a lv.15 Critical and lv.11 Additional build will output a good amount of damage and have an increased chance to stun the opponent if the Additional Attack activates and turns into a Super Attack.
As I mentioned, while Turles (Giant Ape) only has a supreme damage multiplier, he is still quite capable of dealing a lot damage; I am going to look at this unit on a “Movie Villains” team and show how much the fact that he can have so many links active consistently matters even though his base ATK stat is not that high.
I am going to analyse a Turles (Giant Ape) at 55% in the Potential System at Super Attack Level 10 and I’m going to keep him on a rotation with the Leader of the team, Turles; the floaters are going to be the Friend Leader, Steel Hatred Metal Coora and another unit that will not influence his ATK.
7727 (Base ATK) + 2000 (Potential System) x 4 (Leader Skill) x 2,42 (90% start of turn Passive + average boost from support Passives) x 1,75 (average boost from Link Skills) x 1,4 (Ki multiplier) x 4,6 (damage multiplier + Potential System buff) = 1.061.153 Factoring the lv.5 Additional, Turles (Giant Ape)’s average ATK will be 1.125.745 If we take off the boost from his links, this number would drastically drop to almost half, ending up at 643.282. |
Turles (Giant Ape) does not have a farmable Super Attack, but he is a very good unit on both Extreme AGL and Movie Bosses, he can help out in Super Battle Road with his “early” Super Attack, his transformation mechanic and his ability to stun, so if you are planning on using any of these two teams, you should consider maxing out his Super Attack level using Kais; the only thing that will influence the damage output of the “Giant Ape” is the Super Attack level for your information. I would not consider Turles (Giant Ape) a good unit to invest your Kais in if you are just planning on using him on a Giant team.
