[Second Super Saiyan] SS Trunks (Teen) is a great unit with a built-in Critical coming from his Passive, capable of dealing damage and stacking his DEF to tank as well.

SS Trunks (Teen) can fit primarily on three teams: "Hybrid Saiyans", Super PHY and even "Fusion".

• "Hybrid Saiyans"

  On this team, SS Trunks (Teen) is one of the main stars. He is supposed to be on rotation with Budding Warriors Trunks (Kid) & Goten (Kid) and abuse Unconventional Fusion Whirus' orb-changing Passive to get his 18+ Ki Super Attack. Thanks to his Super Attack mechanic, on top of [Hidden Power Unleashed] Ultimate Gohan's 170% boost to DEF from the Leader Skill and 50% additional DEF to all Super Type allies from the Passive, SS Trunks (Teen) is the best unit when it comes to taking hits on this team: his already high stats increase exponentially, allowing him to mitigate any damage after he Super Attacks.

• Super PHY

  This element has too many good units, and building a team is really difficult. SS Trunks (Teen) can find a spot on rotation with either [Fusion of Two Powers] SS Goku (Angel) & SS Vegeta (Angel) or with Infinite Radiance Super Vegito, but in both cases an orb-changer is required to be able to get SS Trunks (Teen)'s 18+ Ki Super Attack consistently. SS Trunks (Teen) deserves a spot on rotation, but doesn't link with Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks [Naught but Rampage] at all.

• "Fusion"

  Putting SS Trunks (Teen) on this team might sound weird, but he actually fits very well. "Shocking Speed" and "Prepared for Battle" are both great links on the team, andSS Trunks (Teen) can make up for the 90% boost received from the Leader Skill with his high chance to Crit.

SS Trunks (Teen)'s 12-17 Ki Super Attack causes colossal damage and increases his DEF by 30% for 3 turns, whereas his 18+ Ki Super Attack causes mega-colossal damage. Being able to increase his DEF is huge on a unit with such high stats.

SS Trunks (Teen) is the 90% leader for the PHY element, an outdated Leader Skill, but not a bad one. [Fusion of Two Powers] SS Goku (Angel) & SS Vegeta (Angel)offer the same boost unfortunately in addition to the first part of theirs, making SS Trunks (Teen)'s Leader Skill kind of obsolete.

SS Trunks (Teen) gets a 120% boost at the start of the turn and a 50% chance to perform a critical hit. 50% is higher than any boost that the Potential System can give any unit (max 40%), and it's what makes SS Trunks (Teen) such a good unit.

SS Trunks (Teen)'s links are decent, but nothing more. "Shocking Speed", "Prepared for Battle" and "Shattering the Limits" are good Ki links for the teams he is on, but the unit lacks ATK links, namely "Fierce Battle" is the one that hurts him the most. "Cold Judgement" would give a great boost to his DEF, but it's difficult to activate.

SS Trunks (Teen) is one of the few units for which Additionals are preferred over Criticals, so lv.20 Additional and 6 Criticals is the best build for him. The Potential System and the Passive do not stack together, they are calculated separately.

SS Trunks (Teen) is completely farmable up to SA 10 with the Trunks (Teen) from the Super Strike event, he is easy to farm since the drop is guaranteed. From SA 10 to SA 20 Kais are required, but the unit is really good, completely worth investing some resources into.
