SS3 Trunks (Teen) doesn’t exactly fit on this team in terms of links due to his lack of Prepared for Battle and Shocking Speed, but he can still be a very solid option; overall Super AGL is a very tanky team and that’s what this unit can do best. This unit should be a floater and you should actually consider bringing him for Super Battle Road where his defensive capabilities can be more helpful and he can possibly help [Mystery Super Technique] SS3 Goku[Mystery Super Technique] SS3 Goku being more consistent since the two share Over in a Flash and Golden Warrior.
This unit is a floater on this team and can perform extremely well defensively under [Saiyans Proof of Power] SS3 Bardock ’s Leader Skill. Over in a Flash is all SS3 Trunks (Teen) needs to synergize with the rest of the units on the team and after all there is still room for improvement since he doesn’t have a Dokkan Awakening yet.
Super ATK
SS3 Trunks (Teen) can raise his DEF upon Super Attack for 6 turns, meaning he is going to be able to stack that boost before it wears off even as a floater. The damage multiplier is only supreme, but his 12 Ki multiplier is good for a base SSR, 140%.
Leader Skill
The Leader Skill is nothing amazing, but SS3 Trunks (Teen) can be used a Sub-Leader for Battlefield.
Passive Skill
A 60% ATK & DEF boost is nothing amazing, but the fact it’s the fact that SS3 Trunks (Teen) can raise his DEF with his Super Attack and has a 50% chance to guard regardless of the enemy’s type that makes him such a good tank; in addition to this he can also disable enemy’s guard, but that doesn’t really matter as he is always going to be a floater.
Link Skill
If we consider SS3 Trunks (Teen) solely on a Super Saiyan 3 team, then his links are fine, they are exactly what he needs and the fact that he might get Shattering the Limit only makes him better, guaranteeing [Golden Fist] SS3 Goku an automatic 18+ Ki Super Attack when he is on rotation, but for any other team they are very underwhelming: no Prepared for Battle or Shocking Speed really hurts this unit, even though as a floater, he doesn’t really need to Super Attack. Cold Judgment can be useful, but it’s a very restricted link.
These two unit share “Over in a Flash” and “Golden Warrior”, which is not bad at all, and can activate “Super Saiyan” and”Limit-Breaking Form” for each other, basically just links to be considered good linking partners. Super AGL is not exactly filled with “Over in a Flash” units, so it’s usually difficult for them to be consistent.
This SS3 Goku (GT) is a solid unit both offensively and defensively and he also links pretty well with SS3 Trunks (Teen); “Over in a Flash” and “Golden Warrior” for 4 Ki and “Super Saiyan” and “Limit-Breaking Form” in terms of ATK links are active by pairing these two.
This SS3 Goku is a support unit and you are not likely to run him on an optimal lineup, but his 33% DEF boost to “SS3” category units can further improve SS3 Trunks (Teen) ability to tank; the two also share the standard “SS3” links.
Hidden Potential
SS3 Trunks (Teen) can benefit as a tank from a little investment in the Potential System. As a unit whose main purpose is to mitigate damage, his ideal investment would be a focus on Additional due to the DEF boost he receives upon Super Attack. Dodge is not really needed and it’s not advised to use too many orbs into this unit.
Should I use Elder Kais/Grand Kais?
SS3 Trunks (Teen) does not have a farmable Super Attack and is not an offensive unit, so, unless you have a great amount of disposable AGL Grand Kais, you shouldn’t invest anything.
